Handling Emails (Gmail)
1. What is E-mail?
E-mail (Electronic Mail) is a method of sending and receiving messages through the Internet. Gmail is a popular e-mail service provided by Google.
2. Creating a Gmail Account
Steps to Create a Gmail Account:
- Open a web browser.
- Go to Gmail.
- Click Create Account.
- Enter your:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Username
- Password
- Enter mobile number and other details.
- Click Next and verify the mobile number.
- Your Gmail account is created.
Example:

3. Features of Gmail Account
Gmail provides many useful features:
- Inbox: Stores received emails.
- Sent: Stores sent emails.
- Drafts: Saves unfinished emails.

4. Compose Mail
To write a new email:

5. Upload and Attachment
Attachments are files sent with an email.
Steps:
- Click Compose.

- Select a file from the computer.
- Click Open.
- Send the email.
You can attach:

6. Downloading Attachments
When you receive an email with files:
- Open the email.
- Click on the attached file.
- Click the Download button.
- The file is saved to your computer.
7. Forwarding and Reply
Reply:
- Used to send a response to the sender.
- Click Reply, type your message, and click Send.
Forward:
- Used to send the received email to another person.
- Click Forward, enter the new email address, and click Send.
8. Recipient
A Recipient is the person who receives the email.
Types of Recipients:
- To: Main receiver of the email.
- CC (Carbon Copy): Sends a copy to another person.
- BCC (Blind Carbon Copy): Sends a hidden copy to another person.

- CC: principal@gmail.com
