Inspire Award Manak Scheme 2025-26 Online Registration Starts
INSPIRE MANAK Scheme is a flagship program implemented by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India with an objective to instil creative/ innovative thinking among school students in the age of 10 to 15 years and studying in class 6th to 10th.
This scheme envisages to target one million original innovative ideas from students and selecting the best ideas having potential to cater to societal needs and applications, thereby motivating these students to take these ideas forward for prototype and product development.
This scheme will be implemented as per the following steps
- Organization of State Level Exhibition & Project Competition (SLEPC) for further short listing of top 1,000 ideas / innovations for the National Level Exhibition and Project Competition (NLEPC). At this stage, NIF will provide mentoring support to students for development of prototypes, in coordination with reputed academic and technology institutions of the country.
- Showcasing 1,000 best ideas/innovations at the National Level Exhibition & Project Competition (NLEPC) and short listing of top 60 innovations for national awards.
- Consideration of top 60 ideas/innovations by National Innovation Foundation for product/process development, their linkage with other scheme of NIF/DST and their display at the Annual Festival of Innovation & Entrepreneurship (FINE).

Under INSPIRE Awards MANAK scheme each school can nominate a maximum of five ideas/innovations of the student based on the degree of novelty, social applicability, environmental implications, potential impact, scope for diffusion through commercial and/or non-commercial channels, relevance to existing government schemes etc.
The online nomination for the year 2025-26 has been opened from 15th June, 2025 to 15th September, 2025.
