Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification for Hostel Superintendents in JNVs

Essential Academic Qualification- Graduation in any discipline 

1. Desirable Academic Qualification- a) Master’s degree/B.Ed, (b) Proficiency in  regional language to be verified during personal talk (no documentary evidence  required). 
2. Minimum Age at the time of Engagement: 35 years as on 01.05.2026
3. Maximum Age of engagement: No engagement or extension beyond 62 years as on  01.05.2026 
4. Prior work Experience: 
   • Minimum 05 years experience in pay level 5 or above of 7^th CPC (or  equivalent scale) in any recognized residential school. OR 
   • Minimum 07 years’ experience on consolidated pay not less than 29200/- per  month in any recognized residential school 
   • OR  Ex-defence personnel having work experience of minimum 05 years in pay  level 05 or above of 7^th CPC.  Work experience in case of candidates having worked in JNVs may be  reduced to three years. 
5. Health/Fitness requirement: As per NVS norms i.e. applicable for regular  appointment. 
6. No Hostel Superintendent should be engaged on contract in JNVs of  their home state in order of their merit in panel. 
7. Hostel Superintendent will be engaged on contract for one academic  session only as per need.

9. Shared single accommodation inside JNV campus only provided.

• Before applying candidates should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility  criteria as given in detailed advertisement available in Website of NVS RO PUNE.
• The selected candidates may be posted to any JNV under Pune OR  Ahmedabad Region . 
• NVS RO Pune/ Principal JNV concerned may reject candidature, of any  candidate at any stage, without any prior intimation, if candidate fails to  fulfill the job requirement / not eligible for the post. 
• Correct & functional email ID & mobile number should be given in the  application. 
• The information should be filled up accurately, if later at any stage, the  information provided is found false/wrong /misleading, the candidature will  be rejected and the candidate be removed from the job without any prior  notification. 
• As per eligibility & requirement candidates will be asked to appear for  document verification and personal interaction in physical mode only. 8. Candidates shall bring self-attested, photocopies of both sides of all  required documents and mark lists of each semester/year of degree/ post graduation/ diploma with originals and experience certificate at the time of  document verification at the venue.

  • 3. JNV Ahmedabad.
  • Interview proposed on  25.05.2026 and 26.05.2026 from 10.00am to 4.00pm. 
• No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for appearing in the Personal Talk.
• Any disputes arising shall be settled at Pune & shall be subject to PUNE Court’s Jurisdiction  only. Selected candidate has to sign an agreement with concerned JNV.
