Amrit Udyan
The Amrit Udyan will remain open to the general public from 2nd February to 30th March 2025.
This edition of the following extravaganza will especially focus on welcoming school and college students, and give them a glimpse of Amrit Udyan, the gardens of Rashtrapati Bhavan. This document is being share with institutes to enable faculties to brief students about what they can expect to see on their visit to Amrit Udyan.
We, hope this primer will help build excitement among our young visitors about their trip to Amrit Udyan.
Key Attractions of Amrit Udyan
- Bal Vatika
- A dedicated garden specially for children which includes swings and slides, a Nature’s trail, a speaking tree and a Tree house. Adjacent to it is the section on Birds of Rashtrapati Bhavan.
- Theme Garden
- A dedicated garden with specially curated display of Winter Annuals Blend of multiple shades – Tulips, Lakspur, Linaria, Plumeria and many other rare seasonal flowers in full glory.
- Bonsai Garden
- Set up in 2010 with around 360 Bonsai plants. Varieties include Ficus Infactoria, Ficus Panda, etc.
- East Lawn & Central Lawn
- Consists of flower beds, fountains, water channels, terraces and. These flower beds are planted with 120 varieties of roses, Tulips and 70 varieties of seasonal flowers.
- Long Garden
- Consists of rectangular and square-shaped rose beds of different varieties. Creepers along the side walls blossom with flowers in different colors. Complementing them are shrubs of Choti Narangi.
- Circular Garden
- Consists of fragrant varieties such marigold, viola, and pansies. A bubble fountain in the middle enhances the grandeur of the garden. Home to more than 25 varieties of seasonal flowers.
- Vertical Garden
- An interesting picture point with myriads of plants, artistically arranged vertically.
- Nature’s Classroom
- Two nature classrooms formed from the logs of an old tree which completed its life. Many student activities will be organized under the shade of the magnificent Pilkhan tree.
- Babbling Brook
- Babbling Brook offers a serene water feature winding through Amrit Udyan, creating a tranquil escape amidst lush greenery.
