Handling Emails (Gmail)

1. What is E-mail?

E-mail (Electronic Mail) is a method of sending and receiving messages through the Internet. Gmail is a popular e-mail service provided by Google.


2. Creating a Gmail Account

Steps to Create a Gmail Account:

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. Go to Gmail.
  3. Click Create Account.
  4. Enter your:
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Username
    • Password
  5. Enter mobile number and other details.
  6. Click Next and verify the mobile number.
  7. Your Gmail account is created.

3. Features of Gmail Account

Gmail provides many useful features:

  • Inbox: Stores received emails.

5. Upload and Attachment

6. Downloading Attachments

When you receive an email with files:

  3. Click the Download button.

7. Forwarding and Reply

Reply:

  • Used to send a response to the sender.
  • Click Reply, type your message, and click Send.

Forward:

  • Used to send the received email to another person.
  • Click Forward, enter the new email address, and click Send.

8. Recipient

A Recipient is the person who receives the email.

Types of Recipients:

  • To: Main receiver of the email.
  • CC (Carbon Copy): Sends a copy to another person.
  • BCC (Blind Carbon Copy): Sends a hidden copy to another person.
