Salary for Retired NVS Employee on contract basis for 2025-26
Recently Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti Released the Notification Regarding Retired Employees of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Teaching and Non Teaching Staff Salary reg.
Monthly remuneration for engagement of retired NVS/Government Servants on contract basis at NVS Hqrs./RO/NLI/JNV.
In partial modification of this office letter No.F.No.02-07/2020-NVS(A)/58 dated 09.11.2020, vide which remuneration for engagement of retired NVS/Government servants on contract basis at NVS Hqrs./RO/NLI/JNV was fixed as 50% of the last basic pay drawn at the time of retirement without increment and dearness allowance. Now it has been decided to pay remuneration to such retired employees engaged on contracted basis as under:
- For employees retired under CCS (Pensions) Rules 1972: Monthly remuneration = Last basic pay drawn (-) Pension.
- For employees retired under NPS and CPF Scheme: Monthly remuneration = 70% of the last basic pay drawn.
- Fixed Transport Allowance for the purpose of commuting between the residence and the place of work will also be paid at the rate applicable to the appointee at the time of retirement.
- The retired NVS/Government servants shall also be allowed TA/DA on official tour, if any, as per their entitlement at the time of retirement.
No increment and Dearness or any other Allowance shall be allowed during the term of the contract.
This remuneration is effective from the date of issue of this letter and will also be applicable for existing retired NVS/Govt. servants engaged at NVS Hqrs./RO/NLI/JNV on contractual basis, including retired teaching staff. The remaining terms & conditions mentioned in NVS letter dated 09.11.2020 will remain unchanged.
This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.
