Organization of Regional Science Congress Competition in JNV for the Session 2025-26
It is expected that each of the Vidyalaya shall organize regular activities on Science Promotion. In addition to the efforts of the Vidyalaya, a Regional Science Congress is being organized every year & arrange high-level quality exposure for the selected children through gaining visit to scientific institutes and interaction with the scientists. It is decided to organize Regional Science Congress with exhaustive career. The event for the session 2025-26 will be organized by involving meritorious students in science from Classes IX and XI.
The objectives and methodology of the organizations of Regional Level Science Congress are as indicated below :
Objectives of the Regional Science Congress Programme
- To provide a forum for young talented students to arouse and pursue their natural curiosity and to quench their thirst for creativity by watching and doing experiments.
- To help students meet eminent scientists face to face, interact with them and feel the thrill of this unique experience and make them the role models.
- To nurture and nourish creativity and innovativeness by helping them giving knowledge and solve problems by relating their learning process to physical and social environment around them.
- To promote an opportunity to bright students to go beyond the limits of the school, to visit labs of national and international standards to further stimulate their temperament and help them observe to collect data, analyze and arrive at certain findings.
- To prepare the young generation to face challenges by encouraging the development of experimental and investigative skills and help them to become scientists for the future.
Activities for the Regional Science Congress Programme
- Visits to prominent Science institutions and laboratories -Resources available in the State / Dist., are to be identified for field visit.
- Interaction with eminent scientist – National and International Scientists are to be identified and may be requested to address the students.
- Conduct of seminars, quiz and other competitions on innovations and science promotion : Topic of the seminar and details of the competition are to be commutated will in advance.
- Screening of films on science promotion – Films of scientific importance should be decided will in advance. Students are to be briefed about the importance of the topic in advance.
- Paper presentation of great innovations and discoveries and also on life of great scientists – List of students / teachers who will be presenting papers are to be collected in advance for scrutiny and duplication is to be avoided.
Participation
- The maximum strength of students in Regional Science Congress will be the number of JNVs in the region. Student will be selected as mentioned below :
- One meritorious science student (class IX/XII) from each JNV may be selected to participate in the Regional Science Congress.
- Either the student who topped in Science & Math’s put together in AISSE 2024-25 (class X) exam or the student of class IX/XI who have exemplary performed well in science exhibition / Olympiad / Science competition (NTSE/KVPY etc.) / Investigatory Project in National Science Congress at national / regional level may be selected to participate or any competition may be organized at JNV level to select meritorious students.
