Best Speech on National Science Day – 28 February 2025
“Success can come to you by courageous devotion to the task lying in front of you” is a quote once said by Sir CV Raman. Good Morning to everyone. Today I am going to deliver a speech on Sir CV Raman, the first Asian Nobel laureate in Physics.
Sir CV Raman was a great Indian Scientist. His full name was Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman. He was born on November 7, 1888 at Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. His parents were Chandrasekhara Iyer and Parvathi Ammal.
In 1928, he discovered the “Raman Effect”, which was an important discovery in the field of scattering of light.
For this remarkable discovery, Sir CV Raman was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. He established the Raman Research institute in 1948.
National Science Day is celebrated to commemorate the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’ By Sir CB Raman.
Sir CV Raman is an Inspiration for future generations in the field of science. As Sir CV Raman said, “Science is the gateway to a brighter future.” Let us continue to walk through that gateway, together.
