Respected Principal Sir, Teachers and My dear friends Good Morning to All.
Your skills are the weapons that can help you in overcoming any difficult situation. In December 2014, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution declaring 15th July as World Youth Skills Day.
The goal is to achieve better socio-economic conditions for today’s youth as a means of addressing the challenges of unemployment and under employment.
World Youth Skill Day 2025 will celebrate 15 July 2025 marks the 10th anniversary since World Youth Skills Day (WYSD) was first celebrated in 2015. The theme for WYSD 2025 focuses on Youth empowerment through AI and digital skills.
As the Fourth Industrial Revolution reshapes economies through Artificial Intelligence (AI), Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) must evolve to equip youth with future-ready skills. AI is transforming how we live, learn and work — but it also poses serious risks if not implemented equitably.
Young people are almost three times more likely to be unemployed than adults and continuously exposed to lower quality of jobs, greater labor market inequalities, and longer and more insecure school-to-work transitions. In addition, women are more likely to be underemployed and under-paid, and to undertake part-time jobs or work under temporary contracts.
Many skills of youth is now expressed through social media platforms. Launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 15 July 2015, SKILL INDIA MISSION aims to train over 50 Crore people in India in different skills by 2025.
The mission aims at vocational training and certification of Indian Youth for a better livelihood and respect in the society. Youth is gift of nature, but age is a work of art.” Do not ever compare your skills with anybody else’s because all kinds of skills are useful in this world. We have a lot of skills. If youth can use their potential in right way, then we can eliminate unemployment of youth.
Follow your dreams and use your natural born talents and skills to make this world a better place to live. Youth is the backbone of every nation. They can contribute much for the world. Let’s sharpen our skills and strengthen our talents. Let’s make ourselves as well as the world better and better.
