There are a lot of benefits to Navodaya teachers. Moreover teaching in Navodaya is a really amazing and electrifying experience. Although i am not a Navodaya teacher but i studied in Navodaya for 7 years and seen many teachers and interacted with them.
- Salary (Temporary) – For a teacher appointed on a temporary base for one year salary is around 35–45k per month and if his experience and portfolio is very good then he can get 60–70k per month.
- Salary (Permanent)- permanent teacher generally get 55–70k per month. If teacher is well experienced and have a good educational background (Generally senior teachers) get 100–120k per month.
- Advantages –
- Navodaya teachers have some very good income at hand at the end of month.
- Person with genuine interest in teaching have a good life as navodaya teacher.
- You will get a quarter(2BHK) to live if you are single and a house consist of one hall, two rooms and a kitchen (it can varies). you don’t have to pay any type of electricity or water bill.
- Your children can learn in navodaya without any entrance exam at free of cost whatever your salary or category does not matter ( For permanent teachers)
- You can eat breakfast, lunch, snakes and dinner at free of cost.
- Remote Location may be a blessing for crowd haters.
- You like to live away from chaos of cities. Want pure air to breathe, fresh food, pure milk, etc then it is good. Because most of the school are located in rural areas.
- Much respect from Students (in their hearts) if you are an honest and communicative teacher.
- You interact with teachers at a higher level than you who are studied from DU, BHU… You learn new ways to teach students.
- You like to play, then it is good. Because daily you can play with your students.
- There are many extracurricular activities in campus in which there is a lot for teachers also.
At last you will not get disappointed either by teaching in Navodaya or by studying in Navodaya. Its my experience.
