Attendance and Participation of JNV Staff Wards in all activities

NVS extended the facility to get education in JNVs to the Children of Staff at par with the students selected through JNVST, except residential facilities. However, it has been observed that the involvement of staff ward students in daily activities of JNVs is not at par with other students and the relaxed monitoring/support regarding academic performance, participating in all activities, Health & Fitness, regular attendance etc. Lead to the differentiated academic atmosphere for staff ward students and a segregated monitoring system at JNV level for Hostelers & Staff Wards.

Hence, following guidelines are being communicated herewith regarding attendance and participation of Staff Wards in all the activities of daily routine of JNVs :

1. While taking class/school student strength, no separate column for staff wards should be placed. Instead, attendance of staff wards should be counted in actual class/school student strength column, with other JNV students.
2. Attendance and participation of Staff wards should be ensured in all the activities of daily routine starting from morning P.T/Yoga, Academic Class Periods, Remedial/Supervised studies, Games & Sports at par with other JNV students.
3. Staff parent should sign an undertaking/declaration at the time of admission of his/her staff ward, that he/she will ensure the attendance and participation of their ward in all the activities of daily routine.

All the staff wards are to be assigned different houses any they should also participate in the House wise activities. It is to be ensured that participation of students in various competition/activities to be on the basic of performance benchmark and aptitude, not on the status of being Hosteler/Staff ward.
